This is a typical scene in Operación Futuro. The student has the option of either viewing the complete scene or preliminary views of that scene. This example shows the complete scene with the video in progress. Subtitles are displayed below the video controllers and the dictionary tool is in use. The menu bar consists of various tools, and resources.

  • Help - Represented by the question marks.
  • Cellular Phone - This allows the student to receive either instructions or messages from the various characters in the story.
  • Map of Medellin - The map serves as one of the navigation tools for the application.
  • Hotel Room - The bed icon returns the student to the hotel room which serves as their home base throughout the story.
  • File Cabinet - The file cabinet represents the Topicos or "encyclopedia" module.
  • Appointment Book - This tool can be used in a number of ways. It is where the student keeps their agenda for appointments with the story characters and their sightseeing tours.
