Mark Bessette

    Mark is currently involved in implementation of the Technology Enabled Active Learning (TEAL) project. Specifically, 3D animation and modeling of electromagnetic and magnetic phenomena. He is also responsible for the design of experiments used in 8.02 recitations as a pre-curser to 8.02 Studio Physics.

    Prior to his move to CECI in July 2000 he was supervisor for the Physics Department Lecture Demonstration Group. He held this post for 13 years. During this time in the Physics Department he worked with Professor John Belcher in the development of "Teaching Electromagnetism Using Advanced Technologies."

    He is a graduate of the Art Institute of Boston, majoring in multimedia, 35mm multi-projector slide shows and film.

    Before coming to Boston, Mark served for six years in the United States Navy Submarine Force with an expertise in Polaris Missiles and missile weapon systems.

    Mark was the Chairman of the New England 3D Studio User Group for five years.
